“We are committed to advancing and cultivating inclusion and diversity in all aspects of our business and we are honored to be recognized with the Elevate Award,” said John Geller, president of Marriott Vacations Worldwide. “Embracing diversity is just one more way we provide a caring culture for associates and embody the vision that we are better together.”
In 2021, Marriott Vacations Worldwide established an Executive Inclusion Council of senior leaders dedicated to championing inclusion and diversity initiatives throughout the organization. The team was also responsible for setting strategic inclusion and diversity priorities rooted in the company’s core values. Additionally, last month Marriott Vacations Worldwide hired its first-ever associate director to lead inclusion and diversity initiatives across the enterprise.
The Elevate Award comes on the heels of Marriott Vacations Worldwide being ranked fourth on Newsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces® list and No. 1 in the hospitality sector. Earlier this year, the company was also recognized as a Top Company to Grow a Career in Travel & Hospitality by LinkedIn.
